Financing Tools to Increase Electric Vehicle Access

Loading Events

Affordability is a key factor in the acceleration of electric vehicle adoption. State and federal incentives have had a major impact by reducing the up-front cost of electric cars, and many affordable lease deals have also helped improve access. However, many would-be electric vehicle buyers still struggle with down payments and may lack access to affordable credit. New pilot projects are beginning to tackle this next barrier to electric vehicle access. For example, in California, the Clean Vehicle Assistance Program provides grants and affordable financing to help low-income individuals purchase a new or used hybrid or electric car.

At our March event, our guest speakers will discuss current and future EV financing programs and highlight the successes and challenges from EV financing pilots. Our Program Manager, Tegan Molloy will be joined by guest speaker Jhana Valentine, Program Director, Clean Vehicle Assistance Program at Beneficial State Foundation
