Oregon DEQ has posted a draft outline for use of the VW Environmental Mitigation Funds on our webpage at http://www.oregon.gov/deq/aq/programs/Pages/VW-Diesel-Settlement.aspx. The state has opened a period for public comment on the elements of a plan. Details about the proposal itself, the planned public meetings/webinars and how to attend and provide comments are detailed on the website.
Once Oregon is accepted as a Beneficiary by the Trustee, a future date not yet determined, the state will have 90 days to submit a proposed plan to the Trustee. The state anticipates offering another round of public review for the proposed plan at that time.
