The Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs and Department of Transportation are hosting a series of four (4) listening sessions on the challenge of reducing greenhouse gas emissions from the transportation sector. The Commonwealth is working to identify the best state and regional strategies aimed at:

  • reducing transportation sector emissions;
  • increasing deployment of zero emission vehicles;
  • increasing the resilience of transportation infrastructure as the climate changes;
  • designing solutions with environmental justice communities in mind.

These sessions are opportunities to capture ideas and policy solutions to combat climate change and air pollution generated by the transportation sector while also supporting a resilient, equitable transportation network for the Commonwealth. The evening meetings will have a presentation followed by a comment period. The daytime meetings will have the same presentation with small discussion groups afterwards. The daytime meetings require pre-registration. Written comments may be submitted here through January 1, 2018, or emailed to gwsa@massmail.state.ma.us.
