On July 5, the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency released a request for proposal (RFP) for EV charging stations using Volkswagen settlement funds. The purpose of the grant is to reduce air pollution by expanding access to EV charging across the state.
The RFP makes available approximately $1.4 million to install fast-charging stations along designated highway corridors around Minnesota. This amount is anticipated to provide about 22 fast chargers. (A separate RFP for Level 2 EV charging stations is expected to be released soon.)
Proposals are due no later than 2:30 p.m. Central Time on August 21, 2018.
