Plug in America has released its 2024 EV Driver Annual Survey Report in partnership with EPRI’s EV2Scale2030 initiative. This survey includes responses from over 4,200 respondents, including about 3,300 of whom are EV drivers. The survey includes the following:

  • PIA found that concern over almost every factor surrounding EVs decreases after drivers have an experience with an EV. The two factors that saw increases in concern were the impact of weather and public charging reliability.
  • Just under 90% of EV driver respondents said it is likely or very likely that their next vehicle will be an EV. We also uncovered some groups of respondents where that likelihood is lower, which would indicate room for improvement in the overall number.
  • The Rivian R1T and the Rivian R1S received the highest ratings for overall satisfaction in our survey. Rivian vehicles also received the highest ratings for range, performance, comfort and more.
