The Consent Decree partially resolves claims asserted by the United States for injunctive relief against Volkswagen concerning the 2.0-liter TDI diesel engine vehicles. It also partially resolves California’s 2.0-liter engine claims for injunctive relief for violations of California environmental and unfair competition laws. Appendix D of the Consent Decree outlines the terms of the Environmental Mitigation Trust.
