The goals of this study are to evaluate the ISL G NZ (near zero) 8.9 liter ultra-low NOx NG vehicle emissions, global warming potential, and fuel economy during in-use conditions. This report presents a summary of the results and conclusions of ultra-low NOx NG vehicle evaluation, and shows that diesel vehicles used in port applications can produce greater than five times the NOx emissions than the certification level, lower vehicle speeds with greater NOx. On the flip side, natural gas engines used in the same applications emit less than the certification level, lower speeds with less NOx.
